What's new on my homepage?

Wed. April 07, 2004

Our paper Fast Evolution of Image Manifolds and Application to Filtering and Segmentation in 3D Medical Images has been accepted to IEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics. You can already see some of the results on filering and segmentation.

Our paper Vessel Segmentation and Blood Flow Simulation Using Level-Sets and Embedded Boundary Methods, written with the Applied Numerical Algorithms Group group of Phil Colella, has been accepted to CARS'2004. A page about the results will be released soon on my website.

I just found out that our Centerline detection algorithm has been referenced in a 2002 conference paper, where among all other previous references, it was giving the best results. Check out Sadleir and Whelan, Colon Centerline Calculation for CT Colonography using Optimised 3D Topological Thinning", 3DPVT 2002 - The International Symposium on 3D Data Processing Visualization and Transmission, Padova, Italy, June 19-21, 2002 Of course they propose a new method in their article, and if it's better than mine, then it is the best.

Addition of several interesting movies on my Gallery Page

Some of my papers are now included in html versions - with the help of latex2html - in particular my first paper at CARS.

The layout of the page has been severly re-modelled using frames.

I've changed a little bit my research page in order to display images of my past projects (Tubular shape extraction, virtual endoscopy, etc...).

I did that after seeing all the work done on the Fast-Marching algorithm by Qingfen Lin. Her contribution on path extraction is very interesting and since she gently references mine, I thought it could be a good idea to remove the dust on my pages.

I've added an article published in a special edition for the conference Curves & Surfaces 2002 in St Malo, France, on my publications page.
