I am an applied mathematician in the Mathematics Group of the Applied Mathematics and Computational Research Division at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.
My research interests are in mathematical modelling and scientific computation, including numerical methods for multi-phase multi-physics in dynamic and extremely complex geometry, numerical methods for interface dynamics, high-order algorithms, and high performance computing.
I am also a Co-Editor in Chief of the journal, Communications in Applied Mathematics and Computational Science.
I grew up in Canberra, Australia, and went to the Australian National University. Afterwards, I moved to Berkeley, California for my PhD in applied mathematics and decided to stay in the area to continue my research; see also my Alvarez profile for the Luis W. Alvarez Postdoctoral Fellowship I held between 2013 to 2017. I am now a staff member of the Mathematics Group at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.
