I am an applied mathematician in the Mathematics Group of the Computational Research Division at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and am also affiliated with the Department of Mathematics of the University of California at Berkeley.

My research interests are in mathematical modelling and scientific computation, particularly numerical methods for interfacial fluid dynamics, high-order accurate algorithms for implicitly defined geometry, and multi-scale and multi-physics simulation. For more, see my Research page.

I grew up in Canberra, Australia, and went to the Australian National University. Afterwards, I moved to Berkeley, California for my PhD in applied mathematics and decided to stay in the area to continue my research; see also my Alvarez profile for the Luis W. Alvarez Postdoctoral Fellowship I held between 2013 to 2017. I am now a staff member of the Mathematics Group at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.
